"Climate Change, A challenge to Businesses in
the 21st Century"
We are delighted to invite you to the 2010 Pilot International Conference on Global
Sustainable Development. The conference will bring together leading experts from a wide range of disciplines to discuss
the impact realities of climate change and sustainable development. It also serves as an important international platform
for stakeholders to enter into dialogue on policies and as an opportunity for decision and policy makers and their direct
reports to hear the latest developments on climate change as well as to exchange opinions and ideas to help establish
practical frameworks on how businesses can develop sustainably.
History Of The Conference.
The 2009 international climate change conference that brought over 100 world leaders together in Copenhagen ended with a nonbinding agreement that urges major polluters to make deeper emission cuts, but does not require it. Although developing and developed countries are different in their historical emissions responsibilities and levels, and in their basic national characteristics and development stages, everybody has an obligation in fighting climate change because of its global nature and adverse effects on humanity and economies. It is for these reasons among others that the 2010 Pilot International Conference on Global Sustainable Development was convened to bring together leading experts from a wide range of disciplines to discuss the impact realities of climate change and sustainable development. It also serves as an important international platform for stakeholders to enter into dialogue on policies and as an opportunity for decision and policy makers and their direct reports to hear the latest developments on climate change as well as to exchange opinions and ideas to help establish practical frameworks on how businesses can develop sustainably. The conference will also provide lessons which can be applied for the Cli mate Change COP16, negotiations to be held in Mexico December 2010.
